When not on a computer or reading a book, he divides his time between helping run a local cricket club and working on his novel.

Liz won the Sisters in Crime Australia Scarlet Stiletto Award for short crime fiction in 2004; finished second in 2007 and 2011; and also took out the Cross-Genre Award in 2011.
Her murder mystery novel To All Appearance, Dead – set in the world of vintage girls' fiction collectors – was published by Bettany Press in 2007.
