Walking Shadows on the Davitt Awards shortlist

Sisters in Crime has announced the shortlist for the 13th Davitt Awards for Australian Women’s Crime Writing

Walking Shadows by our very own Narrelle Harris joins a criminally good lineup in the shortlist for this year's Best Adult Novel.

A record 61 books published in 2012 competed for five Davitts:

Narrelle, the Chronos and Continuum

Walking Shadows has been nominated for a 2012 Chronos Award.

Narrelle Harris talks about the honour and her fabulous competition.

I was obviously chuffed to bits, when I learned that Walking Shadows was nominated for a Chronos Award in the Best Long Fiction category - especially as the nominations are sent in by members of Melbourne’s Continuum* convention. Thank you Continuum People!

Narrelle spies an award

Walking Shadows by our very own Narrelle M Harris has made the shortlist for the Best Long Fiction category of the annual Chronos Awards.

The Continuum Foundation – which hosts Melbourne's annual Continuum specfic and pop culture convention – announced the shortlist ballot for the Chronos Awards for fiction published in 2012.

The Chronos is awarded for excellence in Victorian Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror.

We are thrilled beyond measure for Narrelle, her Melbourne vampire Gary and his geek-librarian bff, Lissa.

Narrelle is up to no good - in a good way

Our very own Narrelle M Harris will be in Ballarat on October 13 with the clear intention of teaching a workshop on the building blocks of writing fantasy. You can find out all about it here.

Sleuths, Fangs & Quests

Four members of the Clan and a visiting US crime writer gather to explore women's genre fiction.

From the mean streets of Louisiana via Melbourne's vampire community to heroes questing in the strangest places, this will be a night to remember.

Walking Shadows - launched & reviewed

The launch of Walking Shadows went off with a bang at Continuum last Friday.

The much-anticipated sequel to the Opposite of Life, by the Clan's newest author Narrelle Harris, was given a good hoorah by the charming Jason Nahrung.

It scored its first review - published on Goodreads - the very next day.

Sally Edwards had this to say about CDP's latest book:

A solid 4.5 stars.
