Alison is an award-winning and New York Times bestselling author. 

A New Kind of Death is Alison’s first crime novel. It was previously published in the USA under the title Killing the Rabbit and was shortlisted for the prestigious Davitt Award.

Alison is also the author of EON and EONA, the NYT bestselling fantasy duology. EON won the 2008 Aurealis Award for Best Fantasy Novel, and was shortlisted for the Victorian, NSW, and WA Premier’s Literary awards.

Her debut novel, Singing the Dogstar Blues, is a science fiction comedy thriller that was also an Aurealis Award winner.

Alison lives in Melbourne with her husband and their Machiavellian Jack Russell Terrier, and is currently working on a new historical/supernatural series set in the high society of Regency London.
