Ashlea Bechaz is a Melbourne-based freelance artist and illustrator.
She studied at the McClelland Guild of Artists from a young age and went on to complete a diploma of Illustration at Chisholm on the Peninsula.
Working mostly with inks, watercolours and gouache, Ashlea's works are lavishly detailed and luringly colourful.
She enjoys walking the line between the beautiful and strange and often combines the two to draw you in to unfamiliar worlds.
The Colouring Bazaar is her first book, but her artwork features in other Clan Destine Press publications: on the cover of A.K.A. Fudgepuddle and inside the Journal of Infinite Possibility.
